Description
This building, located immediately northwest of Merther-Uny House, is a former structure that may have served as stables with accommodation above. It dates from the 18th century, although the roof pitch was lowered in the 19th century. The building is constructed of granite rubble with granite moorstone dressings and features a grouted scantle slate roof. There is a large external rubble stack at the left-hand gable end.
The plan consists of one rectangular room with a blocked fireplace at the first floor on the left-hand side. The building is two storeys high, with the first floor window opening positioned just above the ground floor openings and close to the eaves. The south front is nearly symmetrical, featuring two windows and a central doorway situated between smaller window openings, all of which are currently boarded over. Inside, the walls are unplastered, and the roof structure dates from the 19th century.
