Description

The Old School is a building dating from 1842, now serving as a village hall. It is constructed of stone rubble with large granite quoins and features a slate roof with gable ends. The building has a rectangular, single-storey plan with a central entrance that overlooks the village green and backs onto the north side of the churchyard. There are two three-light rectangular windows with cusped heads and diamond leaded lights on the front, and the central door has a granite lintel inscribed with 'SCHOOL 1842'. The rear elevation also has similar patterned three-light windows. The interior has not been inspected.
