Description

FORRABURY AND PARADISE ROAD, Boscastle SX 0990 MINSTER 7/87 Outbuilding 5m to north of Paradise GV II Stables and carriage house, converted to pig farrowing house and then to garage and workshop. Circa 1820. Slate stone rubble, partly slate hung. Asbestos slate roof with hipped ends and deep overhanging eaves. Rectangular plan; originally with two stalls and carriage house on ground floor and hay loft and accommodation for stable boy above. Garage entrances inserted in right hand side elevation with C20 extension on rear. Front elevation unaltered; 2-light casement with intersecting glazing bars in 2- centred arched opening. Right hand elevation altered with two large C20 garage doors. Glazed extension on rear. Important for group value with Paradise (qv).
