Outbuilding 5 Metres To North Of Paradise

The outbuilding located 5 meters to the north of Paradise is a stable and carriage house that has been converted into a pig farrowing house and later into a garage and workshop. It dates from around 1820 and is constructed of slate stone rubble, with some areas slate hung. The roof is made of asbestos slate, featuring hipped ends and deep overhanging eaves. The building has a rectangular plan, originally consisting of two stalls and a carriage house on the ground floor, with a hay loft and accommodation for a stable boy above.

The front elevation remains unaltered, showcasing a 2-light casement window with intersecting glazing bars set in a 2-centred arched opening. On the right-hand side elevation, garage entrances have been inserted, along with two large 20th-century garage doors, and there is a glazed extension at the rear. This outbuilding is significant for its group value with Paradise.
