Description
There are two headstones located 13 metres south of the west tower of the Church of St Petroc in Padstow. The first headstone commemorates William Triplett, son of William and Elizabeth Triplett, who died in 1751. This is a slate headstone with a rounded top and curved shoulders, featuring an inscription in upper and lower case lettering with serifs. The second headstone, likely from the mid to late 18th century, is in memory of Elizabeth Triplett, the wife of William Triplett, a mariner from Port Isaac, and daughter of John Doubt, a shipwright from Padstow. This headstone is rectangular and also inscribed in upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
