Description

Number 54 Fore Street, which also includes No 2A Digey Street, is an 18th-century building constructed of painted rubble, with some parts faced in stucco. It stands three storeys tall with an attic and features three sash windows, some of which are in moulded cases and lack glazing bars. The building has a 19th-century shop front and a small 20th-century ground floor display window. A moulded eaves cornice adds detail to the design, and the roof is hipped and covered with slate. There is a dormer, and the northeast end wall is hung with slate. This property, along with Nos 52 and 54 Fore Street and Digey Cottage in Digey Street, forms a group of buildings of historical interest.
