Description

The Corner House is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located on Church Street. It is constructed of roughcast and features an eaves cornice and a hipped roof, rising to three storeys. The facade facing Church Street has five windows, while the Dig Street facade has one window, all of which are sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor has a modern shop front. This building is situated at a significant junction in the town, where Church Street, St John Street, and Dig Street meet. The Corner House, along with Nos 1 to 15 (odd), forms an important group.
