Description
62 and 64 Fore Street are 18th-century buildings located on the south-west side of Bunkers Hill. They are constructed of painted rubble and rise to three storeys. There are steps leading up to the first-floor door, which is sheltered by a slate-hung porch. The buildings feature three sash windows without glazing bars. The roof is made of slurried slate and has a hipped end. Number 1 has a projecting two-storey wing that includes a small 19th-century shop at the corner, which is adorned with a cornice and flat pilaster. The Fore Street elevation of Number 62 is pebbledashed and has bands at the first and second floors, with two sash windows, including one on the second floor. These buildings have group value with other listed structures in Bunkers Hill.
