Description

Halmstugga is a pair of cottages, now combined into one dwelling, dating from around the 17th and 18th centuries. The walls are painted render over a cob construction, and the roof is thatched with water reed. A brick chimney is located on the south gable. The layout comprises three rooms. The front façade is irregular, featuring three windows. A top-glazed door is positioned between the ground-floor windows one and two. Windows one and two on both the ground and first floors are four-paned sash windows with horns, with the upper windows breaking the eaves. The cottage on the right-hand side is set at a lower level and contains a 20th-century, two-light casement window on the ground floor; a smaller, similar window is located above. The interior remains unexamined. This property possesses group value from the period.
