Description

Tygwin is a cottage that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted slate rubble and rendered cob, topped with a scantle slate roof that features a brick chimney on the left gable end. The building has a one-room plan with an outshut at the rear and a lean-to on the left side. It stands two storeys high and has a single window front. There is a 20th-century glazed door set back to the right, with a ground floor window to the left of the middle and a similar window directly above it. Additionally, there is a window in the lean-to on the left. All the windows are 16-paned hornless sashes. The cottage is included for its group value.
