Description

SX 07 NW ST KEW ST KEW 5/205 Headstone of William Thomas 7m to of east end of south aisle of Church of St. James GV II Headstone. 1777. In memory of William Thomas who died in 1777 aged 78. Slate rectangular headstone with high quality incised decoration with five angels heads and scroll work decoration around edge of inscription. Verse 'My Pilgrimage on Earth was but a Span Altho I lived beyond the age of Man With my Friend in peace I spend my Day In hopes it was to my Redamers praise'.
