Description

This is a late 18th-century headstone made of slate, located on the east side of the south porch of the Church of St. Thomas in Kentisbury. The headstone has a straight top and features an angel's bust at each corner. It bears an inscription dedicated to Richard Jewel, a carpenter who died in 1765, as well as other members of his family.
