Leat Farmhouse, Outbuilding Adjoining Left And Garden Wall To Front Left And Garden Wall To Front

Leat Farmhouse, along with the adjoining outbuilding on the left and the garden wall to the front left, dates from around the 17th century. The structure is built of stone rubble with rendered cob above the first floor and features rag slate roofs with gable ends. The left side of the house is taller and has a steeper pitched roof compared to the right side, and there is at least one early crested ridge tile towards the left end. The house has a stone rubble and brick axial stack that backs onto the passage, as well as a brick end stack on the right.

The original plan of the house is uncertain, but it consists of two rooms and a cross passage. The smaller room on the right is heated by an end stack, while the larger room on the left is heated by the axial stack. The attached outbuilding at the front left corner of the house forms an overall 'L' shaped plan.

The exterior features two storeys and a regular four-window front with an entrance to the right of the center. It has complete early 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash windows and a 19th-century six-panel door with a slate hood, flanked by two sashes on the left and one on the right. There are four sashes above the ground floor openings. The outbuilding, made of stone rubble and cob, has a corrugated iron roof with a hipped end at the front. It is also two storeys high and has two doors and a window on the right side of the ground floor.

The garden walls that enclose the garden in front of the house are made of stone rubble with slate coping and are likely from the 19th century. The interior of the building is not accessible.
