Description
Wringsdown Thatch is a small house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and cob, which is painted and rendered. The house features a thatched roof with gable ends, and rag slate roofs near the eaves and on the edge of the right-hand gable ends. There is a rendered stone rubble stack on the left side of the building.
The layout consists of two rooms with a cross or through passage plan, where the larger room on the left is heated by an end stack. It is unclear if the right-hand room has heating.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical front with two windows. It features 19th-century casement windows and a 19th-century plank stable-type door with a slate hood above. There are two 2-light casements on the ground floor and two above. The interior is not accessible for viewing.
