Description

The Vicarage is a vicarage built around the 1850s, likely designed by J.L. Pearson. It is constructed of killas rubble with granite quoins, jambstones, sills, and lintels, topped with dry Delabole slate roofs that have slightly projecting verges. The building features a large external stone gable stack on the east side, a lateral stone stack on the west, and a brick chimney over the gable end of the rear wing. The design is Tudor-inspired but shows vernacular influences, with an irregular T-shaped plan that includes an integral outshut filling the rear angle.

The structure is two storeys high and has a three-window southwest front, with a one-window gable end of a projecting wing on the left. There is a canted porch in the angle, with a two-light window above it, and a large four-light window to the right, which has a three-light gabled oriel above. The sills on the ground floor have been lowered. The windows feature wooden mullions and two-pane hornless sashes, with sills supported by mullion plinths. The gable end of the projecting wing on the left has a four-light window on the ground floor and a three-light window above it, which rises above the eaves level. The porch, set diagonally in the angle, has a four-centred arched doorway with a ledged door and a plain parapet above. The interior has not been inspected.
