Description
This is a medieval cross shaft located approximately 350 metres north of Lewannick. It is made of granite and has a square plan. The shaft is a monolith, but the head of the cross is missing. At the top of the shaft, there is a tenon, indicating that the cross was originally a separate piece, with the head attached to the shaft using a mortice and tenon joint. The shaft is set on a square granite socket stone that is raised on a low base.
