Description

This is a detached chimney located immediately east of the New Whim, associated with the whim houses of Wheal Coates mine. It dates from the mid to late 19th century. The chimney is constructed from killas rubble, featuring a brick collar at the top. It has a round plan and is tapered, with a stepped brick collar at the top. It is likely that there was originally a brick upper stage.
