Description

Cellars Cottage is a house, originally comprising two houses with an adjoining cottage, dating to the 17th century with a later 19th-century addition. It is constructed of slatestone rubble and cob walls, with scantle slate roofs featuring gable ends. A substantial, tapered stone external stack is located on the left-hand gable, while brick chimneys rise from the cottage. The house follows a single-depth, four-room plan, and the cottage has a single-room plan.

The east front is irregular, with four window bays. The house's doorway is in the second opening from the left on the ground floor; the cottage doorway is to the right, both accessed via gable-ended porches. Each porch has a 2-light casement window with 12 panes. The porch features shaped barge boards and side entrances. Most windows on the house are 12 or 16-pane 2-light casements dating to the early 19th century, with one 16-pane sash to the right of the porch. A formerly-door window is located second from the right. The cottage windows are 12-pane sashes. A small, single-storey, gable-ended brick building is attached to the far left. The house has a timber lintel above its doorway.
