Description
This is a bank barn located 40 meters to the west of Penwarden, dating from around the 1860s. It is constructed of stone rubble with large granite quoins and features a scantle slate roof, which has hipped ends on the main range and a half-hipped end on the extending wing to the east. The barn is two storeys high and has a symmetrical central range. On the ground floor, there are three round dressed stone arches, with the central opening being wider than the two flanking openings. The first floor has three openings beneath timber lintels, with the central opening featuring double plank doors and a slate hood. The side openings are partly blocked with glazed lights. The east wing includes doveholes in its half-hipped end, while the west hipped end has a stone rubble lean-to.
