Description
This is a mid-19th century house located in St Dominick, East Burraton, with few later alterations. The building is constructed of slatestone rubble, which is partly painted and partly slate-hung, and features a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. There are gable end stacks with rubble shafts.
The house has a two-room plan, with a larger kitchen on the left and a smaller parlour on the right, both heated by gable end stacks. There is an unheated single-storey lean-to at the back that provides additional service rooms.
The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical two-window front, with the first floor being slate-hung. The first floor features two 2-light 20th-century casements. On the ground floor, there is an off-centre doorway to the right, which is sheltered by a shallow porch with a pitched roof, leading to an inner four-panelled door. To the left of the doorway is a 2-light casement, and to the right is a 3-light casement. The left side of the house has a single-storey corrugated iron lean-to, while the gable end above it is asbestos slate-hung. The right side features an external stack, and the lean-to at the rear has a 2-light casement on its right side. At the back, the lean-to includes two 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected.
