Description
Tremlett is a house built in the mid-19th century with few later alterations. It is constructed of slatestone rubble and features slate hanging. The slate roof has ridge tiles and gable ends, with stacks at both the left and right gable ends.
The house has an overall L-shaped layout with a central entrance and two rooms. The room on the left is heated by the gable end stack, while the room on the right has a front gabled bay that projects forward and is also heated by a gable end stack at the left end.
The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical three-window front, featuring 19th-century windows. The two bays on the left have a four-pane sash window on both the ground and first floors, while there is a single light window with margin glazing on the first floor to the right. A porch is set in the angle of the front bay, featuring a hipped roof and a margin-glazed light on the side, along with an inner panelled and glazed door. The front gabled wing has four-pane sash windows on both floors and a louvred ventilator above. The right side of the house has the stack for the main range and an attached single-storey outhouse with two doors at the front. The left side features a blind gable end made of rubble. The interior has not been inspected.
