Description
Tremletts Cottages is a row of four attached estate houses located in St Dominick, built for the Cotehele estate in the mid to late 19th century, with few later alterations. The cottages are constructed of slatestone rubble with brick dressings and feature a hipped slate roof with ridge tiles. They have axial stacks with rubble shafts and cornices.
Originally, there were three houses, with an additional one-room plan house added to the left end. The leftmost house has a two-room plan with a central entrance, while the two houses on the far right each have a one-room plan and paired central entrances.
The cottages are two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are seven 12-pane sash windows with brick jambs and segmental heads; the second window from the right and the third from the left are blind. The ground floor features a continuous slate pitched hood. The left end has a straight joint to the end bay, which includes a 12-pane sash window at ground level. The two smaller houses on the right have a central pair of half-glazed doors, with a 12-pane sash window on either side. At the right end, there is a single-storey lean-to with a 9-pane light, and at the left end, there is another single-storey lean-to with a 2-light casement. The side of this lean-to has a plain door with cover strips and a 2-light casement. At the rear, there are first-floor casements with brick segmental heads, and a single-storey lean-to is attached to the rear of the second house from the right.
The interior has not been inspected.
