Description

This is a dressed granite milestone located on the north side of Alexandra Road, set into a stone boundary wall. The milestone is rectangular in shape with a rounded top and stands approximately 1 meter high. The south-facing side of the stone is inscribed in relief with the words "St AUSTELL / ½ / MILE / TRURO / XIV / MILES." The stone is painted white, with the numbers highlighted in black. Additionally, an Ordnance Survey benchmark is inscribed on the lower part of the face.
