Description

The Commercial Hotel dates to the early 19th century. It is constructed of uncoursed rubble. The building is three storeys high and has four sash windows, with the central windows being paired. These windows have keyblocks, but lack glazing bars. A wide, semi-circular arched doorway is topped with a fanlight and panelled reveals, incorporating a keyblock. A date stone, inscribed “WF 1804”, is visible. The roof is slate. The Commercial Hotel is part of a group with Nos 15, 19 to 37 (odd).
