Description
This is a house located 120 metres southeast of Treween Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a rag slate roof with gable ends. The house has a stone rubble end stack on the left and an axial stack to the left of centre.
The original layout is uncertain, but it has a three-room plan with a cross or through passage, built down a slope with the ground rising to the left. The entrance is positioned to the right of centre, leading into an unheated room at the lower end on the right. The central room is heated by an axial stack in the higher left-hand cross wall, while the inner room on the left is heated by an end stack. There is a 19th-century service outshut at the rear.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical two-window front. There is a 19th-century door in an open-fronted porch to the right of centre, accompanied by a two-light casement window to the right and a three-light casement window to the left. The inner room on the left is lit by a 19th-century two-light casement. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century sashes with four panes over eight panes. The interior has not been inspected.
