ALTARNUN TREWEEN SX 28 SW 4/119 House 120 metres to south east of - Treween Farmhouse

GV II

House. Circa late C18 or early C19. Stone rubble. Rag slate roof with gable ends. Stone rubble end stack on left and axial stack to left of centre. Plan: Original plan uncertain. The house has a 3-room and cross or through passage plan and is built down the slope with the ground rising to left. The entrance is to right of centre with an unheated room on the lower end to right; the central room is heated by an axial stack in the higher left hand cross wall and the inner room to left is heated by an end stack. C19 service outshut to rear. Exterior: Two storeys. Asymmetrical 2-window front. C19 door in open-fronted porch to right of centre with 2-light casement to right and C19 3-light casement to left. C19 2-light casement lighting inner room to left. First floor with two C19 4 over 8- pane sashes. Interior: not inspected.
