Description
The engine house located at SW 442347 is a Grade II listed building from the mid 19th century. It features a dressed granite bob wall, while the rest of the structure is made of granite rubble with granite dressings. The building has a rectangular plan and includes a round chimney that is positioned at the rear left corner. Although the original pumping machinery, floors, and roof have been removed, the exterior remains notable. It stands two storeys high above a basement plinth. The front wall has a round-headed granite arch in the middle, and the rear wall features a tall round-headed brick arch above a large boiler doorway, with a window opening situated above it. There is also a doorway on the left-hand wall and a window opening on the opposite right-hand wall.
