Description

BLISLAND SX 07 SE 8/104 Wellhouse 90 metres to north east - of Lavethan II

Probable wellhouse. Circa C19 reusing earlier material. Stone and granite rubble. Built into steeply sloping bank, possibly over field spring which has dried up. Round-headed dressed stone arch to wellhouse. Surmounted by probably resited granite wheelhead cross inscribed with Greek cross. It is uncertain whether this structure is a wellhouse as there is no water evident.
