Description
This structure is a probable wellhouse located 90 metres to the north-east of Lavethan, dating from around the 19th century and reusing earlier materials. It is constructed from stone and granite rubble and is built into a steeply sloping bank, possibly over a field spring that has since dried up. The wellhouse features a round-headed dressed stone arch. At the top, there is a likely resited granite wheelhead cross that is inscribed with a Greek cross. However, it is uncertain whether this structure functions as a wellhouse, as there is no water evident.
