Description

The building is a hall located about 30 metres south of the Lanherne Carmelite Convent, likely originally a farm building from the 17th century. It was altered around the mid-19th century, with some 20th-century changes and additions. The structure is made of slatestone and granite rubble, featuring stone and brick dressings, and has a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends.

The hall is a single room with an entrance at the front and gable ends on both sides. It is built into the bank at the right end, which includes a small 20th-century addition. The building may have originally served as a barn and is unheated.

On the exterior, it is a single storey with three large late 19th-century two-light four-pane casement windows at the front. The second window from the right features a 19th-century plank door with a four-centred arch and a brick surround. The front wall shows signs of rebuilding, with former door openings visible. At the left end, there is a blocked opening at a lower level with a remaining timber lintel, and above it, a 19th-century two-light stone window with cusped lights and a timber lintel, along with a breather above. The right end has a small single-storey 20th-century lean-to, with a blocked opening and breather above it. The rear of the building is blind.

Inside, the walls are plastered, and the roof is ceiled below the level of the roof trusses.
