Description
Tregonhawke Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some later alterations. The building is constructed of painted rubble and features a slate roof with ridge copings, along with large external stacks with shaped caps at each gable end.
The farmhouse has a two-room plan, with the longer room on the left and an off-centre entrance on the right. There is a rear wing behind the left-hand room and an outshut behind the right-hand room. The building stands two storeys high and has four windows. The first floor features 20th-century casements with glazing bars and toplights, while the ground floor includes a door with a brick segmental head, a three-light casement to the right, and a two-light casement to the left, along with a 20th-century glazed door at the far left. The left end of the farmhouse has a wide stepped stack with a 20th-century window at the ground floor right.
To the left, there is a lower two-storey rear wing with single-storey additions, which includes a two-light casement under the eaves and a rear lateral stack at the junction between the wing and the main range. The right end has a similar stack and a two-pane light at the first floor right, along with a single-storey range of outhouses attached to the right, featuring 20th-century double doors in the gable end and a door with two windows to the rear. The rear of the farmhouse includes a one-and-a-half-storey outshut to the left with a door and two 20th-century windows, and a 16-pane light at the first floor to the right. The rear wing to the left has a two-light casement at the ground floor and a 20th-century porch lean-to at the end with a door and sidelight.
The interior has not been inspected.
