Description
The Vicarage is a mid-19th century vicarage located in Gwinear Churchtown. It features a dressed coursed granite front, while the rest of the building is made of painted rubble. The roof is hipped with grouted scantle slate and has axial brick chimneys positioned over the cross walls. The two chimneys on the front roof retain their original octagonal chimney pots, and the building has wide eaves. The overall plan is L-shaped, with three reception rooms along the garden front. The middle room has a canted bay window, and there is a two-room service wing at right angles behind the left-hand room. The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement on the west garden front, featuring a large central canted bay window on the ground floor. The original hornless sash windows with marginal panes are present, as well as original sashes on other elevations. The interior has not been inspected.
