Description
This listing describes a pair of gatepiers and a threshold located 3 metres south west of Trehawke, dating from the mid 19th century and partly constructed from earlier dressed stone. The gatepiers are made of square ashlar slate stone and granite, featuring moulded caps and granite ball finials. The threshold consists of a reused granite lintel with a heavy roll mould on its lower part. There is a central shield with a moulded surround, although the carvings have now eroded.
