Description
Lamorran Glebe Farmhouse is a rectory that has been converted into a farmhouse. It underwent remodelling in the early 19th century, which modified an earlier house. The building is constructed from slatestone and features an asbestos slate roof, with a brick chimney on the gable end to the right and a hipped roof on the left. It has a symmetrical central stair plan and stands two storeys tall with a three-window front. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with flush beads on the bottom panels and an overlight with marginal glazing. The reveals are panelled, and there is a 20th-century porch. The windows include a 12-pane wooden sash above the door and wider 16-pane wooden sashes with horns in the other openings, all with wooden lintels. There is a small lean-to structure on the right and at the rear. The rear stair window is a 24-pane wooden sash. Although the interior has not been inspected, one room is noted to have internal window shutters. The building ceased to function as a rectory in 1874 and is included for its group value.
