Description

The Higman monument is a chest tomb located about 5 metres west of Roche Wesleyan Methodist Church. It dates from the 19th century and is made of granite and slate. The tomb features a granite ashlar chest on a plinth, with plain corner pilasters and a heavy moulded lid. There is a slate inscription plate set into the lid, commemorating Joseph Higman, who passed away in 1852.
