Description
Marlborough Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early 19th century, with an extension added in the mid-19th century. It features painted rubble walls and dry slate hipped roofs with projecting eaves. The building has a shallow-depth plan, with a rear wing at right angles and a single-storey wing on the left. It stands two storeys tall and has a symmetrical three-window front along with a two-window-range wing. The original windows are hornless sashes with glazing bars. The central doorway of the original house is framed by reeded pilasters and has a pair of three-panel doors with flush bottom panels and a cabled lock rail. The porch is supported by square wooden piers with capitals and has a flat hood. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
