Description

The headstone of Thomas Brown is located 2.5 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St. James. It dates from the mid-18th century, although the exact date is obscured due to being buried in the ground. The headstone commemorates Thomas, the son of Susanna Brown. It is made of slate and features a rectangular shape with an incised panel that includes a nowy-head containing a crude angel's head. The lower part of the headstone is buried in the ground.
