Description
This chest tomb, located approximately 3 meters north of the Church of Saint Piran, was erected in 1813 in memory of John Tilly, who died at the age of 68. It is made of white limestone and has a square plan. The tomb features a plinth with a moulded top, panelled sides, and a lid with splayed corners topped by an urn. Each side of the tomb has a tall panel with concave corners, positioned between reeded corner pilasters. There is a moulded cornice beneath the lid, and the east side displays an incised inscription in bold lettering.
