Description
The Church Room is a building likely dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from painted stone rubble and has a corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends. There is a chimney stack on the right gable end, which has a 20th-century brick shaft, while the left gable end previously had a stack that is no longer present.
The building consists of a single room with an entrance at the front. It was heated by a fireplace located at the right gable end, which is now blocked, and there is a clay cloam oven situated in the rear corner of the left gable end. The exterior features a single storey with an asymmetrical front, including a 20th-century plank door on the left and a 20th-century metal frame window on the right. The right gable end is blind, while the left gable end has a large curved projection for the oven. At the rear, there is a 20th-century window to the right and a rooflight. The interior has a ceiling that is boarded.
