Description
Johns Monument is a chest tomb located about 30 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Carantoc in Crantock. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of granite. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and an inset slate inscription plate. It has a moulded plinth, and the north and south sides each have two fielded panels, with one panel on the east and west sides. The west side includes an inset marble inscription plate dedicated to Mary Johns, dated 1823, and other members of the family.
