Description
The bridge located about 10 metres east of Lower Lodge is a Grade II listed structure built in 1910. It spans the River Luney and is constructed from slatestone rubble with granite dressings, showcasing a Gothic style. The bridge features a single span with a round arch on each side; the downstream arch is adorned with granite dressings and includes a datestone marking the year 1910. The upstream side has a parapet wall made of rubble topped with slate capping. The downstream parapet wall is embattled and includes an octagonal terminal pier made of stone rubble on the east side. This wall stands approximately 1.5 metres high and stretches about 15 metres long. The design of the bridge appears to complement the style of the Lower Lodge to Caerhays Castle.
