Description
The structure consists of two lime kilns, likely built in the 18th century. They are constructed from slatestone rubble and are irregularly L-shaped, integrated into the hillside. The only visible openings are located at the angle to the east and south. The round-arched embrasures are tapered and positioned at an angle, allowing for raking out holes at the base of the kilns, which are currently inaccessible. There are small vent holes at the back of the barrel vaults. Additionally, there is a further cambered stone arch at a higher level in the angle, which connects the coped parapets of the working areas above the kilns. To the right of the arches, there is a small roofless lean-to with a doorway facing west, which was presumably used as a shelter for the lime burners.
