MAWGAN-IN-PYDAR ST MAWGAN Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Trehelder

GV II Three attached houses. Dated 1903; built as almshouses in memory of Emily Bridges Willyams. Few later alterations. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Tiled roof with gable ends with bargeboards. Axial stacks with brick shafts.

Plan: Overall U-plan, with one house in the central range and one in each front wing.

Exterior: Single storey, symmetrical front with central gabled porch, bay to right and left and front wing projecting to right and left. The porch has half-glazed door with four-centred arched fanlight and hood mould. The fanlights over all the doors have stained glass with the initials EBW. Recessed datestone above. Three-light window with casements and top lights to right and left. Each wing has a similar door and two-light window on the inner side. he front gable end of each wing has a canted bay with 2-light window to front and single lights to sides.
