Description
The quay and walls to the beach at Rock Sailing Club date from the late 18th century. They are made of slate stone rubble, with the vertically coursed walls of the quay rising approximately 6 meters above the beach at low tide. The quay has a rectangular shape and extends southward into the Camel Estuary. In the early 19th century, a warehouse, now known as the Rock Sailing Club House, was constructed at the southern end of the quay. The walls on both the west and east sides leading to the beach are also built of vertically coursed slate stone rubble, featuring piers made of horizontally coursed rubble.
