Description

The Archway over the Earl's Drive is an 18th-century structure located in Edgcumbe Country Park. It is made of rubble with granite dressings and features a tall round archway. The voussoirs of the archway are crafted from vermiculated granite and include a large projecting keystone. The flanking walls are also constructed from rubble. The rear (north) side of the archway is finished in plain sandstone, which also includes a keystone. This archway serves as an important ornamental feature along the drive that runs along the cliffs.
