Description

TINTAGEL TRETHEVEY SX 08 NE 4/219 Outbuilding 8 metres to east of St Pirans GV II Outbuilding, now used as a store. Circa C18 or earlier. Slate stone rubble side walls with weather boarded front gable end. Rag slate roof with gable ends. Stone rubble side lateral stack. Plan: Original plan uncertain. Overall rectangular plan, built into side of slope with ramp up to loft on rear elevation and entrance to ground floor in right hand gable end. Stone rubble rear lateral stack near rear right hand corner. Exterior: Two storeys. Elevation to road faces St Pirans house and garden walls (qv) and has two small windows and a blocked door on the ground floor and a line of pigeon holes above. The right hand gable end has been rebuilt in the C20 with double garage doors on the ground floor and weather boarding above with a plank door in the centre. Interior: Partly gutted and used as a store. 4 bay roof of A-frame construction, lap- jointed and pegged apices and collars.
