Outbuilding 8 Metres To East Of St Pirans

This outbuilding, located 8 metres to the east of St Pirans, is now used as a store and dates from the 18th century or earlier. It features slate stone rubble side walls and a weatherboarded front gable end, topped with a rag slate roof that has gable ends. There is a stone rubble lateral stack on one side.

The building has an overall rectangular plan and is built into the side of a slope, with a ramp leading up to a loft at the rear and an entrance to the ground floor located in the right-hand gable end. A stone rubble lateral stack is positioned near the rear right-hand corner.

The exterior is two storeys high and faces the road, overlooking the St Pirans house and garden walls. It has two small windows and a blocked door on the ground floor, along with a line of pigeon holes above. The right-hand gable end was rebuilt in the 20th century, featuring double garage doors on the ground floor and weatherboarding above, with a central plank door.

Inside, the building has been partly gutted for storage. It has a four-bay roof constructed in an A-frame style, with lap-jointed and pegged apices and collars.
