Description

The Pollamounter monument is a mid-19th century headstone located in the churchyard about 30 metres southwest of the tower of the Church of St Stephen in St Stephen, Brannel. It is made of granite and features a slate inscription tablet. The headstone has a two-centred arched centrepiece adorned with stylised foliage carving and rounded shoulders, with a carved quatrefoil on the east side. The slate inscription tablet is rebated and has a border carved in lower relief, commemorating William Pollamounter, who passed away in 1857.
