Description
Bull's House, located to the southeast of Carkeen Farmhouse, is a building dating from the early 19th century, though it may have earlier origins. The structure is made of stone rubble with granite quoins and features a rag slate roof that has a hipped end on the left and a gable end on the right.
The building has an overall rectangular plan, built into a bank at the rear, with a two-storey front elevation and a single-storey rear elevation. External steps lead up to the loft located in the right-hand gable end. The exterior has two storeys, with what appears to be a reused granite doorframe from the early 17th century on the left, featuring a chamfered lintel and jambs with pyramid stops. There are slit openings near the centre and a window to the right on the ground floor. The first floor has a row of pigeon holes to the left and a window to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
