Description
Nancemere Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700. It is likely constructed of rubble stone, now rendered with cement, featuring rusticated quoins and window surrounds. The front has a slate roof, while the rear is covered with asbestos slate. There are brick chimneys over large external rendered gable chimney breasts. The building is two stories high with a slightly irregular three-window front. A late 19th century or early 20th century gabled porch with glazed doors leads to an old two-panel inner door. The front windows are late 19th century sashes with 12 panels per sash, while the rear sashes have small panes. One ground floor opening at the rear includes a three-light lattice ventilator. A tall stair window at the rear is a 20-pane sash. The interior has not been inspected, but a stair with heavy turned balusters is visible through a window.
