Description
Killagorden Farmhouse is a circa early-to-mid 19th century farmhouse located in Kenwyn. The construction utilizes roughly dressed slatestone and shale rubble, with dressed stone voussoirs and slate sills. The roof is covered with grouted scantle slate to the front, and asbestos slate to the rear, with brick chimneys positioned over the gable ends.
The plan consists of two principal front rooms flanking a central entrance passage, leading to a central staircase and narrower rear service rooms, all under a single roof. A wide, stopped splay at the left-hand front corner has been created to ease access.
The east front is symmetrical, featuring three windows and a central, blind or blocked window. The central doorway has a four-panel door, later glazed to the upper panels. All windows are original 16-pane, hornless sashes with shallow arches above. The rear elevation retains original sashes, including a taller mid-floor stair window. The interior is reported to be largely unaltered.
