Description
The bridge at Gwennap Hale Mills, built around 1824, is a road bridge that spans a railway line. It is constructed from killas and granite rubble, featuring rock-faced granite quoins. Above the bridge, there is a cast iron lintel that supports a stone metalled surface. The structure includes stone abutments against the embankment on either side of the railway. This bridge is notable for being the only road bridge over the Redruth and Chacewater Railway, which operated from 1824 to 1915.
