Description

The Newdale Tramway Bridge, built around 1759, is a historic bridge that once supported an early plate railway transporting materials between Coalbrookdale, Horsehay, Ketley, and Donnington Wood. This bridge was essential for the movement of goods to and from the ironworks at Horsehay. It features two small round brick arches spanning a stream, with remnants of stone facing on the spandrels. The bridge is one of the few surviving structures from the extensive tramline network that operated in the area during the Industrial Revolution.
