Description

The Church of St John, built in 1865 and designed by J Ladds, is a Romanesque-style church located on Dawley Road. It features polychrome brick construction and a tiled roof. The church includes a nave with lancet windows, a south porch, and a chancel with a polygonal apse that also has lancet windows. A large tower is situated on the south side of the chancel, which has round-arched bell openings and a pyramidal tiled spire supported by a corbel table. The east and west windows contain stained glass made by Evans of Smethwick.
